![]() ![]() In the BIOS (gigabyte z370 motherboard) the Storage Boot Option & Other PCI Devices are set to UEFI mode. Note that Secure Boot is an optional feature of UEFI, so you won't run into this problem with a BIOS-mode boot. It looks like all the option ROMs have legacy disabled which is Check in GPU-Z as there is a UEFI indicator. ![]() Just put together a new system and it is booting up fine. MSI GTX 1070 Gaming needed this Firmware Update to be UEFI capable: CSM and Secure Boot are mutually exclusive. Im fucking done Best I could manage was to set: Launch PXE OpROM Policy. The information uploaded onto the system is then processed by UEFI's programming interface, which configures the data to ensure compatibility. But another piece of legacy tech I see there that I overlooks is the PS2 devices support option in the BIOS menu. I've a i5 9400f, rtx 2060 and if i disable csm support i can't log into the bios no more, also I get 5 short beeps when trying to boot (partition is gpt, OS uefi, fast boot disable). ![]() MSI GTX 1070 Gaming needed this Firmware Update to be UEFI capable: I believe W11 supports this. There is 2 parts in this, 1 is the CPU, and other is the motherboard. (Some motherboards like MSI don't have a straightforward way to disable CSM but there you need to disable Windows 7 boot mode and use Windows 8/10 WHQL mode) 2. I don't understand at all, why we should disable SECURE BOOT or UEFI MODE in bios by using windows 10 dvd or from usb pendrive. After a quick search, I learned this is probably due to CSM in the BIOS. On desktop: Highlight the Secure Boot under Authentication and you can change its settings to "Disabled". Go to Security Set Supervisor Password and create a password. Once you have set the supervisor I could not deactivate CSM (wich makes Secure Boot appear) and that was caused by my GRAPHICS-CARD! The Mainboard Gigabyte B350 was already on its latest update - still didnt work to disable CSM - reset it after reboot so i couldnt activate Secure Boot. ![]()
